8 There's gonna be an Ice Age 2?? Sweeeeeeet...

For those that are wondering, Beta Ray Bill was an alien (designed after a horse's skull, 'cause the artist thot it was kewl) who challenged Thor to rights over the mystical hammer which gave him his powers. He won, but Odin couldn't stand letting Thor lose his hammer--it symbolized his power and identity as Thor--so he created a new and equally powerful hammer for Bill. Bill used it to fight the invading hordes from his home planet, the reason he was sent to challenge Thor for his hammer to begin with.

There's more to the story, but that's the gist of it. Probably one of the better stories Marvel has come up with outside of X-Men and Spiderman until lately. And now that I've completely revealed my geekiness, I will slink back to my hole.
